Introduction

Though I am not an eloquent person, I have always loved the rhyming word of poetry and I have my moments of creativity in this subject matter. I tend to write from emotion, sometimes from experiences and often tell stories of quite simply what is on my mind. Not necessarily writing for anyone in particular, most of the time just writing thoughts. I have been asked to write poems for other people and some are included in this collection. Read, don't read, the choice is yours... and so is your opinion.

Free to share poetry

All of my writing is registered with copyrights, however I am happy to waiver this for my poetry section and should anyone wish to use my work for song lyrics or share on the internet, all I ask is that credit is given to my name by means of common courtesy, thanks. There are certainly reasons behind what I write and I am sure that over time I shall add explanations to accompany each piece and if possible I shall add some imagery too. If you wish to question any of my work, I shall be happy to respond.

Could We Make It

You were all I ever wanted, You were always there,
The moonlit smile, The talking eyes, The velvet long dark hair.

Somehow I had to let you know, Exactly how I felt,
Although we had only just met, My heart began to melt.

It was there, in your eyes,
All your feelings inside,
I could tell, in your heart,
We had something to hide,

But could we make it?
Could we run free with our destiny?
Could we make it?
Bring to life our one fantasy,
Show the world of our unity,
Can't you see, You were meant for me?

Time was on our side and waited, For us to realise,
That we two should be together, It was no surprise,

The world around us, motionless, As if it wasn't there,
You and me were all that counted, A life for two to share.

Ricocheted, in a maze,
And our hearts took control,
We were one, you and I
With a body and soul,

But could we make it?
Could we run free with our destiny?
Could we make it?
Bring to life our one fantasy,
Show the world of our unity,
Can't you see, You were meant for me?

Then it came out of the blue,
No longer a dream, A love that was true,
No longer alone, As we once stood,
No longer the pain , A hurt that was good,

We can live, every day,
With our heads held up high,
Proud and strong, Can't go wrong,
Reaching up to the sky,

Because, we made it?
Now we run free with our destiny?
Yes, we've made it?
Living life in our fantasy,
Showing the world of our unity,
Now can't you see, You were meant for me?
