Introduction

Though I am not an eloquent person, I have always loved the rhyming word of poetry and I have my moments of creativity in this subject matter. I tend to write from emotion, sometimes from experiences and often tell stories of quite simply what is on my mind. Not necessarily writing for anyone in particular, most of the time just writing thoughts. I have been asked to write poems for other people and some are included in this collection. Read, don't read, the choice is yours... and so is your opinion.

Free to share poetry

All of my writing is registered with copyrights, however I am happy to waiver this for my poetry section and should anyone wish to use my work for song lyrics or share on the internet, all I ask is that credit is given to my name by means of common courtesy, thanks. There are certainly reasons behind what I write and I am sure that over time I shall add explanations to accompany each piece and if possible I shall add some imagery too. If you wish to question any of my work, I shall be happy to respond.

Key To My Heart

I look and see myself so small, A little boy of 4ft tall,
And I see, Him smiling back at me.
The one who has his Daddy's eyes, An adult who's cut down in size.
But will he, Grow up to be like me?

A boy who has so much to learn, And one day he'll have his turn,
Will he be, A father just like me?
I see him in his boyish ways, Reminding me of childhood days,
Yet it's strange, I don't want him to change.

Each generation grows up to face,
Every problem of the human race,
But please don't let them take away,
The everything that you hold today.

So won't you promise me, Promise me you'll always be,
Some one who means so much to me,
Because you hold the vital. part, Yeah, You hold the key to my heart.

And I will promise you, That I'll be there in all you do,
That 111 always believe in you,
Because you hold the vital part, Yeah, You hold the key to my heart.

And I hear the little baby cries, From the little girl with big blue eyes.
Pure white skin, Her mothers beauty is within.
There's not a blemish in her mind, She is perfection of mankind,
And maybe, She'll grow up to be like me.

The one who sings to any tune, Will no doubt be a lady soon,
But I know, Some day she'll have to grow.
The innocence in every word, Repeating everything she's heard,
Yet it's strange, I don't want her to change.

Each generation grows up to face,
Every problem of the human race,
But please don't let them take away,
The everything that you hold today.

So won't you promise me, Promise me you'll always be,
Some one who means so much to me,
Because you hold the vital part, Yeah, You hold the key to my heart.

And I will promise you, That be there in all you do,
That always believe in you,
Because you hold the vital part, Yeah, You hold the key to my heart.

Because you hold the vital part, Yeah, You hold the key to my heart.
Because you hold the vital part, Yeah, You hold the key to my heart.
