Introduction

Though I am not an eloquent person, I have always loved the rhyming word of poetry and I have my moments of creativity in this subject matter. I tend to write from emotion, sometimes from experiences and often tell stories of quite simply what is on my mind. Not necessarily writing for anyone in particular, most of the time just writing thoughts. I have been asked to write poems for other people and some are included in this collection. Read, don't read, the choice is yours... and so is your opinion.

Free to share poetry

All of my writing is registered with copyrights, however I am happy to waiver this for my poetry section and should anyone wish to use my work for song lyrics or share on the internet, all I ask is that credit is given to my name by means of common courtesy, thanks. There are certainly reasons behind what I write and I am sure that over time I shall add explanations to accompany each piece and if possible I shall add some imagery too. If you wish to question any of my work, I shall be happy to respond.

Something In The Air

She said she'd be working 'till late on a Monday,
He said that he'd meet her the following Tuesday,
But Tuesday's a blue day, So set off on his way,
To meet her from work that very same Monday.

The time slowly passed as he stood waiting for her,
He saw some one slip out or was it just a blur?
As the rain fell upon him. He gave an unsure grin,
And was told no one at work, had even seen her.

He early next morning confronted his loved one,
Wanted to know what the hell was going on,
She denied it completely, And smiled very sweetly.
And gave him her word, that there wasn't a thing wrong.

Do you know something that I don't? 'Cause there's something in the air,
I can't feel. it, I can't touch it, - But it's definitely there.

So what do you know that I don't? - Are you saying you don't care?
Won't you show me, Won't you tell me? - 'Cause there's something in the air.

Wednesday was Thursday, and each day the same day,
Time didn't matter to these two any way,
But in all of their kissing, He felt something missing.
He wanted to ask, but did not know what to say.

He came to despise her, the black widow spider,
And never again would he lay down beside her.
Though he still dreams the good times, And skips all the bad times,
And still can't figure out what went on deep inside her.

Do you know something that I don't? - 'Cause there's something in the air,
I can't feel it, I can't touch it, - But it's definitely there.

So what do you know that I don't? - Are you saying you don't care?
Won't you show me, Won't you tell me? - 'Cause there's something in. the air.

One year later he found out she was just a hooker,
Her soul was possessed by the devil that took her,
He repeated what she said, When they were nearly wed,
Back in the days when she was such a good looker.

She vowed that you can't judge a book by its cover.
And though they were close, he was merely a lover,
Grave bitten and twice shy, He gave in his reply,
That he'd never again be bit by another,

Do you know something that I don't? 'Cause there's something in the air,
I can't feel it, I can't touch it, - But it's definitely there.

So what do you know that I don't? - Are you saying you don't care?
Won't you show me, Won't you tell me? - 'Cause there's something in the air.
