Introduction

Though I am not an eloquent person, I have always loved the rhyming word of poetry and I have my moments of creativity in this subject matter. I tend to write from emotion, sometimes from experiences and often tell stories of quite simply what is on my mind. Not necessarily writing for anyone in particular, most of the time just writing thoughts. I have been asked to write poems for other people and some are included in this collection. Read, don't read, the choice is yours... and so is your opinion.

Free to share poetry

All of my writing is registered with copyrights, however I am happy to waiver this for my poetry section and should anyone wish to use my work for song lyrics or share on the internet, all I ask is that credit is given to my name by means of common courtesy, thanks. There are certainly reasons behind what I write and I am sure that over time I shall add explanations to accompany each piece and if possible I shall add some imagery too. If you wish to question any of my work, I shall be happy to respond.

Wrap Me In Your Sails

Let your sails rip - Let your sails raw
Wrap me in your sails - Like you did before
We can sail the seven seas - We can visit every shore,
So , Wrap me in your sails - Like you did before

A lonely ripple stirs such a gentle memory,
A memory that belongs to only you and me,
You and me sailing, sailing 'cross the sea.

With bare feet we'd walk along the golden sand,
Golden sands would hold us, walking hand in hand.
A hand whose palm of love's already planned.

The crows nest, an empty one, - Was no home for the crow,
But the best seat in the house, - To see the lovers show.

Let your sails rip - Let your sails raw
Wrap me in your sails - Like you did before
We can sail the seven seas - We can visit every shore,
So , Wrap me in your sails - Like you did before

Whispering winds all around reminds us of the past,
A past of when we took our vows and said they'd always last,
The final sail in place, in place upon the mast.

Perspiring thoughts of love sent blazing from the sun,
The sun racing with the tide, a race that can't be won,
One thing that sparked a love, a love since time begun.

Ripping yarns or so they say, - And say it with such ease.
Malibu the secret isle, - Treasure with palm trees.

Let your sails rip - Let your sails raw
Wrap me in your sails - Like you did before
We can sail the seven seas - We can visit every shore,
So , Wrap me in your sails - Like you did before

Ocean sands scorching hot, Yet cool under foot,
A message in a bottle, And on it, this I'll put.

Let your sails rip - Let your sails raw
Wrap me in your sails - like you did before
We can sail the seven seas - We can visit every shore,
So , Wrap me in your sails - Like you did before.
